Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Edmondson was last seen in Athens, Georgia on January 12, 1987. She was treated in the hospital that day for an epileptic seizure, and came to see her mother afterwards. That evening, she left the house to go to a convenience store and buy cigarettes. When she went to the store, though, she bought beer instead of cigarettes. She has never been heard from again.
At the time of her disappearance, Edmondson lived with her son husband in a room they'd rented from Edmondson's uncle. She has three children, all of whom were raised by her mother. Her case remains unsolved.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known.
