Description, clothing, jewerly and more : A black tank top, blue and white plaid shorts, white socks, black velcro sneakers and a maroon 49ers baseball cap.
Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : Caucasian male. Brown hair, green eyes. Knowles has a six- to seven-inch scar on the inside of his left arm, a one-inch scar on his neck, and a large scar on his chest from open-heart surgery. He has a small gap between his upper teeth.





Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Knowles was last seen in the evening of August 17, 2006 at a campground on Interstate 5, fifteen miles south of Dunsmuir, California. He left to use the toilet and has never been heard from again.
All of his personal belongings were left behind with the exception of his wallet. There has been no activity on Knowles's credit cards or bank accounts since his disappearance.
Knowles is described as an experienced camper. He was employed as a truck driver at the time of his disappearance, and resided in Orland, California. His case remains unsolved.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends.
