Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : Caucasian male. Blond hair, blue eyes. Mansfield has tattoos on both arms.





Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Mansfield was last seen on June 20, 1988. He and two others were floating down the Gulkana River from Paxson Lake in a rubber raft. Near Falls Canyon, Mansfield fell out of the raft. He wasn't wearing a life jacket. One of his companions tried to pull him back onto the raft, but he was swept towards a logjam and disappeared in the water. His body has never been found.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons.
